(review of an uncorrected proof) I'm conflicted about this book. I didn't like any of the characters; they all seem to be refugees from a soap opera. You have the philandering husband (I just can't help myself), the "innocent" other woman (I'm not doing anything wrong), the clueless wife, the manipulative mother, and on and on. As much as I hated the characters, I just couldn't put the book down. Schwarz is a powerful enough writer that I just HAD to finish the book. And, I'll have to check out some of her other books sometime. She's just that good.
