I was never sure exactly where this book was going. And, after finishing it, I'm still not sure. It's the story of a small Georgia town shaken up by a new teacher who introduces her students and the town to The Arabian Nights. But the last half of the book is a story within a story within a story of how part of an ancient book from old Baghdad came to be in Georgia. The parts were interesting enough, but I never figured out exactly what the connection between those parts was.
