I read just about anything with words - especially cozy mysteries and urban fantasy.
This is wonderful. A good, old-fashioned, creepy book about things that go bump in the night. It reminds me a lot of early Stephen King - Christine, The Shining, and Tommyknockers especially - where a normal setting just isn't quite what it seems. The story is filled with sympathetic characters, bad guys and a REALLY big monster. I know this is the beginning of a trilogy and was afraid that this book would end with no real resolution. Have no fears. The ending is finished enough that the reader won't be gnashing teeth wondering what happens, but anticipation for the next book is there. Anyone know when that next book is due? Highly recommended.
