I wasn't real thrilled with this one. Myers grew up in the Congo, so describes it vividly but I wasn't particularly taken with her characters. This is the third in the series and it's possible I'm missing some vital character development in earlier books, but I just couldn't connect. The story was blurbed as a mystery, but I never really figured out exactly what the mystery was. The only reveal at the end of the book came out of left field and answered a question that I didn't even realize had been asked.
It was interesting reading about the Belgian Congo of the 1950's and Myers does describe the village quite well, but I don't think I'll be looking for the others in this series.
